Our accommodation is located in one of the most beautiful and idyllic quarters of Saxony's capital Dresden within a few minutes walk to the Pillnitz Park and Castle, the only castle of its size in Europe reflecting East Asian styles which Augustus the Strong (1670-1733, King of Poland and Ruler of Saxony) once bought as a gift for his mistress. In addition, our house is only a stone's throw away from Carl-Maria von Weber's summer residence where the German composer wrote most of his Freischütz.

Other nearby attractions are the baroque church Maria am Wasser (St. Mary's on the Water) and romantic paths that are leading through valleys like the Keppgrund down to the River Elbe.

At the same time, it is only 25 minutes to the city centre of Dresden with its numerous castles (e.g. the Zwinger) and museums, the Semper Opera House, the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and the Brühlsche Terrasse (Brühl's Terrace).
